Hi!

We’re Megan and Amanda — two licensed clinical psychologists and moms. We created this newsletter to share simple, science-backed tips that help working parents navigate the ups and downs of family life with more calm and confidence.

  • I’m a licensed clinical psychologist with over 15 years of experience. I studied psychology at Princeton, earned my PhD from Temple University, and completed my fellowship training at New York Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medicine. I am still actively involved in the training and mentorship of early-career psychologists at Weill Cornell. I am the founder of Hudson River Therapy, a private practice dedicated to offering practical, evidence-based care to individuals managing anxiety, depression, and related challenges. As a working mom, I understand firsthand the complexities of juggling career and family.

  • I’m a licensed clinical psychologist specializing in maternal mental health. I studied English at Trinity College, earned my Master’s at NYU, and completed my doctorate at CUNY, followed by postdoctoral training at New York Presbyterian/Weill Cornell. Earlier in my career, I worked at Weill Cornell, Columbia, and Case Western Reserve. I'm the founder of McGovern Psychotherapy in Minneapolis, Minnesota, providing evidence-based therapies to adults and couples, and serve as adjunct faculty at the University of Minnesota. I live in Minneapolis with my husband and two children and practice working parenthood everyday.
